Encasing, Dot Displacement and Poked Dots

Learn how to encase your beads to give them depth and more of a 3D look, how to create stripes from a dot by using glass displacement, and how to make forced bubble decoration in your beads.  All glass materials, gas, kiln firing and and safety gear is included.   As your beads need to be processed in a kiln afterwards, they can not be taken home on the day.  The cost of *posting your beads is also included in the fee.

*Please note that if you reside in America, as of March 2019 New Zealand postage prices have increased dramatically due to security.  The price stated includes only non-tracking with a delivery time of 14 days.   If you require your bead parcel to be tracked, it will be an additional charge of NZ $50.

These classes are a private lesson for two hours working at your own pace with glassmaker Jo Tricker.  Come on your own or bring a friend - the torch can be shared across two people if you book two consecutive lessons.  Tuition is conducted in Jo's own 75 sq m studio in the Judea Industrial Estate.  Minimum age requirement is 12 years of age - parents are welcome to stay with their child.

Lessons are available on Wednesdays to Fridays between 9 and 2.30pm and on Saturday mornings, at a time that can be negotiated with you.   Participants must have already completed Beginners Glass Beadmaking Class 1 and 2 in order to do this class, or to have prior beadmaking experience.

To make a lesson time please contact me on jo@jotrickerglass.com or 0274621655 and you can then purchase your lesson online.
