SATURDAY 25 AUGUST - 12 - 3.00PM
Come and make a fused glass platter and experience the fun of kilnformed glass! You will get to take home a rectangular platter which you have designed yourself, which you can then use for your own cheese and crackers or other gourmet delights!
This is a kilnforming glass experience, not glassblowing, and the technique is very different. We will be using Bullseye glass products which include rods, stringers, sheet, confetti, powder, frit and casting billets. The wide variety of these products allow for an extensive range of creativity that you will love! The class is suitable for absolute beginners or those who have done a little glass fusing before.
Glass platter making is conducted in Jo's own 75 sq m studio in the Judea Industrial Estate. The price stated is per person and the course fee covers all materials, use of equipment, kiln firing time and *delivery of your platter. Tea and coffee will also be provided.
* Firing takes 24 hours so platters can not be taken home on the day.
